Helsinki University Press (HUP) is an award-winning and expanding scholarly publisher of peer-reviewed research. We publish primarily in the fields of arts, humanities, education, and social sciences, with the aim of contributing to academic debate and supporting methodological development. Launched in 2020 as an international open access publishing house, the Press has published 44 books by March 2026. These publications bring together authors and contributors from 40 different countries and 129 research institutions globally. All our books are published in English.
