This package comprises a group of small to medium-sized independent presses all of which are deeply committed to transitioning to open access. 

Members of this package are all hybrid presses, publishing a mixture of closed and open content. Each has built a model which, in line with our membership criteria, aims to enable them to transition to a minimum of 75% open access books on new titles over time. 

Our independent press publish in a wide range of subjects including history, archaeology, anthropology, educational research, gender studies, political science, sociology, environmental studies, philosophy, urban studies.
