Verlag Barbara Budrich provides those who support its Membership Package with:
- Supporters can download for free the full range of formatted digital editions of Verlag Barbara
Budrich’s books (pdf, and, if available epub and XML). Any student, faculty member or
alumnus registered with a Supporter can freely download and keep any digital edition of any
title from Verlag Barbara Budrich’s website;
- Publications will be accessible for readers with visual impairments or reading difficulties,
according to the German “Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz”, the Accessibility Enhancement
Act;
- Supporters contribute to the publication of some 10 to 15 new high quality Open Access
research monographs under an CC-BY license;
- Supporters can upload any digital edition of Verlag Barbara Budrich’s titles to their own digital
repository or ebook collection to keep permanently. If Supporters decided to terminate their
membership, they will maintain permanent and uninterrupted access to all titles accessible
during their membership period;
- Supporters receive regular usage statistics;
- Verlag Barbara Budrich supplies Supporters with an annual report, or a link to a report online, detailing both key activities over the year as well as key financial information, including the contribution of OBC funds to its revenue streams;
- Verlag Barbara Budrich provides Supporters with an annual sustainability report or a link to the report online, demonstrating the impact, open access publishing has on reducing carbon
emissions, i.e. due to reduction of print runs, transportation etc.
